CRITTER GUARD evaluated at Finepoint Circuit Breaker

In May 2004, Finepoint Circuit
Breaker & Testing Conference contacted CRITTER GUARD and asked us to
provide a conference speaker on the subject of substation wildlife outages.
This was in response to survey done the previous year in which utility
professionals requested direction on finding the best possible solutions to
wildlife outages. Finepoint's ideal candidate would be someone that could
provide real feedback on what has and hasn't worked in the past. |

At the
Finepoint conference October 6th in Atlanta,
Thomas Harrell - an Entergy
Mississippi Area Supervisor - gave a presentation to over 250 utility
professionals on the outstanding successes Entergy has experienced with CRITTER
GUARD over the past three years. In July of 2002, Entergy installed more than
2,200 Line Guards protecting their entire Mississippi substation division. This
effort stemmed from chronic problems with squirrel outages in substations even
after using other forms of animal protection.
Entergy is making this
data available because sound and informed decisions are the best method to
increase service reliability and cut down on costly squirrel outages. On this
