4. Raccoons

In most cases, you may have raccoons but not see them. They are nocturnal, but they will expose themselves to your property overnight. They will leave behind waste, like rats, that can be infected with worms, or carry other diseases like distemper. If you're pet isn't updated with shots, or too young to have them, they could be exposed to harmful diseases. Keep in mind that wild raccoons are also carriers of rabies. If you have raccoons coming out during the day, or attempting to get close to you and your pet, they could be suffering from this fatal disease.
